Bean Seeds - Rattlesnake Pole
Rattlesnake pole beans represent a time-tested heirloom selection prized for consistent performance and extended productivity. These vigorous vining plants climb 6-8 feet and initiate flowering 60-70 days after direct seeding, with pod maturity following shortly thereafter. The characteristic purple striations on the pods serve as a visual indicator of variety authenticity. Pod quality remains optimal when harvested at the immature snap stage, though mature beans dry successfully for winter storage. The variety demonstrates strong disease resistance and adapts well to variable soil conditions when provided adequate moisture and full sun exposure. Their indeterminate growth pattern ensures successive flowering and continuous harvesting throughout the growing season, distinguishing them from determinate bush types that concentrate production into shorter windows.
